The Altar Guild at St. Cuthbert’s plays a vital role in preparing our sanctuary for worship services, weddings, baptisms, and funerals. Their dedication ensures that our space is beautiful, welcoming, and ready for all who gather in faith.  Members work in teams to create and maintain a sacred space that is ready for worship.

Responsibilities of the Altar Guild:

  • Members of the assigned team gather on a Saturday morning to prepare the altar and sanctuary for worship on Sunday morning
  • Preparing flower bouquets after the 10:00 AM Sunday service for parishioners in need of pastoral care, delivered by members of the Men’s Breakfast group.
  • Decorating the sanctuary with banners that align with the church’s liturgical seasons
