We look in faith today towards the Lord, the one on whom God’s favour rests. In confidence, let us bring our petitions to the Lord’s altar, saying: Lord, hear our prayer.

For the baptized gathered in this church, that we might follow the path of John the Baptizer and always acknowledge Jesus as Lord, We pray for the Church in the Province of West Africa. We ask you to bless the work and witness of charities that carry out loving work - for ‘Sleeping Children Around the World’, International China Concern, HOPE International, Young Life, for PWRDF of our own Anglican Church of Canada as it transitions to a new name ‘Alongside Hope’ and for the Cdn Food Grains Bank. Bless all those who seek to end hunger, build community, and work for justice in this world. let us pray to the Lord.

For all those preparing for baptism and for their families, and for our newest members, that they might draw closer to the servant who is God’s chosen, the light of the nations, and our light, We seek the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to lead and guide your church all around the world; remembering our companion Diocese: The Episcopal Diocese of Northern Philippines, for Bishop Benny Lang-akan, clergy, & people. Our twinned parishes: St. Bede, Panabungen & St Luke, Maliten – The Rev. Albino Fag-ayan. We pray for strength, renewal, insight, and loving care. We pray for our Bishop John Stephens, Acting Metropolitan: David Lehmann, Acting Primate: Anne Germond, for Rev. Monte and Fr. Paul. let us pray to the Lord.

For the healing of all those who are blind to God’s impartial love; for reconciliation among nations, races, creeds, and all that can divide us; for the gifts of unity and peace, We pray for calm and a cooling of hostilities in many places around the world. We hold up to you the people of Haiti and the people of Sudan each in the midst of civil war and strife. We pray for those who are traumatized by war between nations particularly between Russia and Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, and other parts of the middle east. We pray for political leaders that they may truly seek and find ways to bring peace to the many turbulent regions around the world. let us play to the Lord.

For the consolation and support of all who are imprisoned, physically, spiritually, emotionally; for all who are ill in our Parish Family: Ren, Chris, Neil, Mary, Wendy & family, Doug, Lloyd, Alex, Roz, Fr. Paul, Wayne, Georg, Joe, Anita, Dick, and especially for those dying of incurable diseases and those who care for them, prayers also asked for David Nash & family on the death of his father Arthur, let us pray to the Lord.

We pray for Our Parish & Ministries – Sound System Volunteers. Our Parish Families – Michael & Ida; Ned; Breanne; David, Adam & Ethan; Kathie. All loving and ever faithful God, we thank you for the gift of your Son. As his disciples, we have offered our prayers. Hear them and answer them in his name, Jesus your beloved Son and our beloved Lord, this day and forever. Amen.
