Rev. Monte
Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, Rev. Monte emigrated to North America via the US in 2013 to further his studies at Episcopal Divinity School for his masters and Chicago Theological Seminary for doctoral studies. Has 10+ years’ experience in ministry, business, and education. He is dedicated to revitalizing ministries bringing mature spirituality and introspection into churchmanship done compassionately and holistically. He is an expert at translating diversity and inclusion principles into ministerial practice. He is a pastor and priest, driven by gentleness, forbearance, humility in approach to both ministry and leadership. Rev. Monte is also an active scholar who is driven by pastoral psychology, leadership, human development, social justice, and multicultural perspectives in ministry. He is an enthusiastic collaborator on strategy, public ministry with special interests in children, youth and family ministry having served in various positions as a youth pastor, nursery coordinator and director of children’s formation. A firm believer in the baptismal covenant which bestows royal priesthood on all believers in ministry. His philosophy for ministry is informed by the mantra that the two long lasting things in God’s kingdom are The Word of God, and The People. He is informed by the thought process of helping People actuate to their full potential because everyone deserves to be led well so that they can flourish in a “welcoming and diverse community of Christians, people of different ages, ethnicities, talents and interest.” Informed by Scripture, Tradition, and Reason, for the duration of his term, he visualizes St. Cuthbert actuating to its full potential.
