St Cuthbert Anglican Church in Delta is looking to employ an individual who will be working with its Youth Ministry Team in an 8 week Youth Ministry position June 7 - August 1st. The successful applicant will be responsible for engaging youth and will report to the Church’s Youth Ministry team coordinator. In addition, they will learn administrative skills by providing assistance to the church administrator three mornings per week.

35 hours per week
$17 / hour

Roles for this position
Youth mentorship - direct youth contact work
Connect and encourage youth with opportunities to serve on church ministry teams
- digital media, coffee ministry, greeters, nursery support team etc
Assist with summer program and event creation and implementation
- including youth involvement at the annual church picnic
Leading or Co-leading weekly programs:
- Sunday school (June); youth events; community service projects (eg. Gardening - church grounds and neighbours in need).
Assist with and attend the St Cuthbert Music Camp mid-July & any other camps
- Including, helping to recruit volunteer leaders.
Church office administrative tasks three mornings per week.
Qualifications we are looking for in an applicant:
Experience working with youth is an asset
Ability and willingness to work independently and to adapt to new situations
Effective time management and organizational skills
Willingness to grow ministry skills through study of resource materials provided
Able to provide successful Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
Class 5 Drivers License with no restrictions (ideal but not required)
Between the ages of 18-30
