JOB DESCRIPTION
WHO WE ARE:
St. Cuthbert Anglican church was built to serve parishioners from NORTH DELTA, Surrey, and other parts of the lower mainland. St Cuthbert’s is known to all, for its hospitality, diversity and sense of church family.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
• The position will begin on June 11, 2023 and run for 8 consecutive weeks ending August 5, 2023.
• Applicant must be between 18–30 years of age, a citizen, or permanent resident of Canada with a social insurance number.
• 35 hours per week (which will allow for some flexibility of hours, possibly including some evenings or weekends)
• $18.00 per hour
• A criminal record check will be required.
• Class five driver’s license with no restrictions, (ideal but not required).
THE POSITION:
• In consultation with a volunteer supervisor, develop various activities, by preparing materials, recruiting volunteers, planning for orientation, set up and execution of planned activities.
• Leading, planning, executing a variety of activities such as:
o Assist with and attend the St. Cuthbert’s camp, church office administrative or “odd job” working bees.
o Assist with summer programs, involvement with the annual Church picnic.
o Setting up a booth on July 1st Canada Day community celebration.
o Develop digital media, coffee or lunch ministry, greeters, nursery support team to mention a few options for activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Accountable to your Supervisor, the position will meet with the Supervisor on a weekly basis, to review the past weeks successes, and your plan for the upcoming weeks activities.
• Lead and co-lead weekly programs.
• Plan and execute group events being both fun and service focused.
• Encourage engagement and leadership skill development of our church youth.
• Communicate effectively with other church ministry leaders and help involve youth in the planning and execution of events.
• Ability to meet with Parish families, as necessary.
• Pursue skill development through self-study.
